Tryout Information

The Valencia Express will be hosting tryouts for the 2012/2013 season at Ice Station Valencia.  The tryouts will take place on the following dates for all divisions:

Friday June 22^{nd  -}  Saturday June 23^{rd  -}  Sunday June 24^th

Below you will find the tryout guidelines, times for all tryouts and the roster of coaches for the 2012/2013 season.

TRYOUT GUIDELINES

1. Please make sure that your player arrives a minimum of 40 minutes prior to the start of his/her tryout.  This will ensure sufficient time to prepare and to be ready to take to the ice.
2. Provide proof of USA Hockey registration a copy of your Player’s Birth Certificate (if you are a new player)
3. Make sure to bring your own water bottle!! !
4. Be prepared to stay behind after the tryout to find out if your player made the team and/or to find out what other instructions have been given.
5. Be advised that Letters of Intent (LOI) are not to leave the rink.  
6. If your player is offered a LOI, you will be asked to accept it and to sign it.  Should you decide not to execute the LOI, please be advised that your player will forego his/her spot on the team and another player will then be offered that position.  There will not be any exceptions to this process.
7. Do not leave the rink without making sure that the Coach has made a selection regarding your player.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Coaches need to move swiftly and decisively in order to ensure that all teams are comprised of the most suitable players for that team.  If a LOI is offered to your player, please take your time to make up your mind.  If you decide to postpone your decision to sign and to join the team, the Coach will offer that LOI to another suitable player.  This will make it difficult to impossible for your player to join the team in the future because of a full roster.
